Just twelve more days to go to the 2024 Joy of Six!   We are in the final planning stages for the show and it’s all coming together very nicely.

Here’s the final layout, and as usual we have the very best in small scale traders and a bewildering variety of games, large and small, covering a huge range of periods and genres.  There are games to impress and games to play.

You will have your chance to grill team Baccus about, well…anything really, and to join in the Q&A session where the discussions can roam far and wide about our hobby.    This year we are delighted to have a stellar panel consisting of Robert Dunlop, (the doyen of the massive 6mm Great War spectacular),   Dan Hodgson, (the ridiculously talented painter and model maker and owner of Reveille Studios), and the Yarkshire Gamer himself, Ken Reilly, (champion of the Big Game and this year’s token advocate for 28mm figures).

With regards to the Baccus Sunday Grill, if you have any particularly tricky, demanding and generally impossible questions that you would like to answering, can you please send them to [email protected]  She will ensure that they are served up with no prior notice, just to put someone on the spot…

We have just a couple of places left on the afternoon session of the Baccus workshop tours on the Saturday before the show.   If you fancy coming along, please do get in touch.  We are working on a first come, first served basis.

For those of you staying overnight in Sheffield, we have arrange a place for us all to get together to eat, drink and talk wargaming rubbish for the evening.  It’s a wonderfully atmospheric pub in the centre of Sheffield and we’d love to see lots of you there.   The food is highly recommended, but the pub has asked that you order in advance where possible, so have a look at the menu and then email us before Tuesday 9th July  at [email protected] with your choices.  You really won’t be disappointed.

Talking of ordering in advance, there is still time to get those collect orders in to us before the big day, but please do so before next Wednesday, as after that we will be just a little bit busy doing things.

See you all in Sunny Sheffield on the 14th!
