That is awesome! Reminds me of playing Snapshot with 15s on ship plans but much more manageable and 3d to boot.

    Edit: What Gary Said!

Operation Hercules – the planned invasion of Malta. Even though they were successful, the kicking the Germans took invading Crete in part lead them to cancel the operation.

Now if Neal Gaiman can write about American Gods – surely they emigrated from somewhere…. Poor Hercules, kicking around post war greece driving busses becasue that’s the best job he could get. What’s a demigod to do but try his luck in the new world….

Very nice. Baccus are awesome – even at 6mm I don’t always feel my painting does them justice,

Some times you game with what you have, not with what was right.

    Yup

I’ve necroed enough threads over the last 2 days so what’s one more? Besides I blame Facebook.

My vote’s for a family ticket with family being two adults and children under 12 – the specifics to be worked out by the family ticket holder. (Sorry if I have just offended the Poly Community)

An alternative would be a free or reduced rate “And friend ticket” Good for one day only, perhaps no pre-reg participation games but the friend can pay to play on the day. Pro-rated upgrade to full day or full con ticket.

These look great especially since they are 6mm. In order to avoid IP lawyers, you may want to make them a little less accurate and change the names before casting them – they’re a bit too good. ๐Ÿ˜‰

In the dusty recesses of my mind, is the vague recollection of an SF story where the bad aliens either had monochromatic vision or were effectively blind. With no need for visual cammo, the Earth suits were brightly painted according to rank and function – kinda like blaze orange hunting gear.

Right now I like my science fiction Victorian – Space 1889 to be precise (though IHMN is a good little skirmish game)

I also have several units for Gruntz and those generally betray my SF roots in Traveller and the Military SF of the 60’s to 80’s. I like my SF hard with only the absolute minimum bending of reality required to make it work. That said, I also watched a lot of stompy robots and rubber suiters on VHS tapes sent over from Japan. This of course resulted in many games of Mekton – I consider this more Anime/fantasy than SF though.

I put blitz on my tablet earlier in the year. Great game, poor simulation and a touch few too many numpties depending on the time of day.
